About Me

Whitney
I grew up in rural Pennsylvania, but discovered a passion for the city early in life. Once I finished my Bachelors at Eastern, I moved to the Philadelphia area and worked in a non-profit for two years. After a sudden layoff, I was graciously provided with the position of Program Recruiter for the Urban Studies Department at Eastern. Now I am able to engage my passion for the urban context on a daily basis with people just as passionate as me. Promoting the MA in Urban Studies has helped me to continue my quest for understanding and these are the thoughts resulting from that quest.
